JRS Associates have partnered up with an exciting manufacturing company to recruit an experienced Manual Machinist to join their established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering long-term stability, excellent overtime opportunities, and the chance to work on a variety of precision-engineered components.
The Successful Manual Machinist – Package:
* £35,300 – £40,800 per annum (paid hourly)
* Rotating 3 Shift Pattern:
* Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm
* Lates: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
* Nights: 8:45pm – 6:00am (4 nights per week)
* Overtime Available:
* 1.3x (time and a third) for the first 2 hours
* 1.5x (time and a half) on all hours worked above 39.5 per week
* Permanent position
* Long-term job security

The Successful Manual Machinist – Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years' experience operating manual machining equipment within a manufacturing environment
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Experience producing dimensionally accurate components to tight tolerances
* Competent using measuring equipment including micrometers, verniers, gauges, and inspection equipment
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to production deadlines
* Capable of working independently and as part of a team
* Flexible approach towards shift work and overtime requirements
* Good understanding of health & safety, environmental standards, and quality procedures
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
