Quantity Surveyor (Permanent)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Chesterfield (Hybrid)
Hours: 40 per week
Requirement: DBS check
The Role
An established organisation within the renewable energy sector is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support its growing Solar PV projects portfolio. Operating within a wider Power & Grid division, this role will play a key part in commercial delivery, cost management, and project performance.
Key Duties
Support monthly cost reporting and CVR production
Manage project budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
Administer contracts in line with agreed terms
Oversee cash flow and financial tracking across projects
Handle subcontractor accounts from measurement through to final account
Attend commercial and project meetings, including site visits
Assist with client interaction alongside senior team members
Provide guidance to junior staff and ensure internal compliance
Requirements
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of contract law (NEC preferred)
Commercially aware with solid financial skills
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
Basis DBS check
