My client is looking for a Specification Technologist to add to a growing Spec team. They have a strong relationship with their retail customers, giving you the opportunity to work with the biggest retailers in the country.

If you are currently a Spec Tech or a Technologist, this could be a great opportunity for you to increase exposure and knowledge in this area.

The Role

Create and manage product specifications for UK retailers, foodservice, and manufacturing customers
Approve packaging artwork and copy, ensuring legal and customer compliance
Work with other departments to support product launches
Maintain accurate ingredient, recipe, and nutritional data across systems
Ensure specifications are completed to customer and internal deadlines
Conduct allergen and claims risk assessments
Support factory trials, audits, and continuous improvement activitiesAbout You

Specifications experience within food manufacturing
Strong knowledge of UK food labelling, allergens, and nutritional claims
Experience with major UK retailer specification platforms
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Confident communicator who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
