Grounds Maintenance Supervisor

I am working alongside an award wining property services company who are looking forward to welcoming a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to lead operations for a social housing contract in the London area. This role involves managing four mobile grounds maintenance teams, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring excellent organisational abilities, leadership skills, and practical experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and support four grounds maintenance teams across multiple housing estates and communal areas.
Plan daily schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain work quality and meet contract standards.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Communicate with clients, residents, and management about service delivery and any concerns.
Assist with recruitment, training, and development of team members as needed.
Maintain and monitor vehicles, machinery, and equipment to ensure proper use.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, or service requests.Requirements

Previous supervisory experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or environmental services preferred, but candidates eager to step up are welcome.
Experience with social housing or local authority contracts is advantageous, but not essential.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple teams and workloads effectively.
