Senior Outsourcing Accountant – Oxford | Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum | Full-Time
A well-established practice based in Oxford is looking to appoint a Senior Outsourcing Accountant to join their expanding outsourcing division. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to work with a varied and stimulating client portfolio in a modern, technology-led environment.
You will take on a senior position within the outsourcing team, managing a portfolio of clients and delivering high-quality management accounting, bookkeeping and reporting services. You will work closely with clients to understand their businesses, identify opportunities and ensure they receive the highest standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and develop strong relationships with a portfolio of outsourcing clients across multiple sectors
Oversee day-to-day accounts, preparation of management accounts and financial reporting
Utilise cloud-based accounting technology to deliver efficient and accurate services
Act as the primary point of contact for your clients on all accounting and financial matters
Process bank transactions, sales and purchase ledger entries, expense claims and general ledger postings
Prepare basic statutory financial statements with little or no supervision
Budgeting & Forecasting
Carry out ad hoc assignments including budgeting, cash flow forecasting and client training
Assist with tendering for new clients and the implementation phase for new engagements
Provide business partnering support, including variance analysis and KPI reporting
Mentor and support junior members of the outsourcing teamRequirements
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
Previous experience in an outsourcing or management accounts role
History of working in practice and/or looking to return to practice
Proficient in cloud-based accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously
A client-focused approach with a commercial mindset
Confident working both independently and as part of a teamWhat's on Offer
