Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.
The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple water and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, clients, and supply chain partners, you will ensure commercial performance is maximised whilst maintaining strong contractual compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the commercial management of water and infrastructure projects throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare, manage, and negotiate subcontract packages and agreements.
Administer contracts, ensuring compliance with NEC and other standard forms of contract.
Prepare and submit applications for payment, valuations, and final accounts.
Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
Assess and manage change control processes, compensation events, and variations.
Produce accurate monthly commercial reports and financial forecasts.
Support project teams with procurement strategies and supply chain management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
Mentor and support junior commercial staff where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the civil engineering sector.
Strong experience delivering water, wastewater, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
Excellent working knowledge of NEC contracts, particularly NEC3 and NEC4.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, procurement, and final account settlement.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
Membership of, or progression towards, a recognised professional body such as RICS or ICES would be advantageous.
Full UK driving license.
