We are seeking a highly skilled Claude Code Agentic Developer to join our team in Manchester and lead the development of next-generation AI-powered agentic solutions. The successful candidate will design, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents using Claude Code and modern LLM technologies, enabling intelligent workflow automation, business process optimisation, and advanced decision support capabilities.

This role combines software engineering, AI application development, automation, and prompt engineering to create scalable agentic systems capable of reasoning, planning, memory management, and tool integration across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy agentic AI applications using Claude Code.
  • Build autonomous AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, planning, memory retention, and tool execution.
  • Integrate AI agents with APIs, databases, enterprise systems, and third-party platforms.
  • Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using vector databases and knowledge repositories.
  • Create secure, scalable, and production-ready AI workflows.
  • Engineer prompts, system instructions, and evaluation frameworks to improve agent performance and reliability.
  • Develop multi-agent architectures and orchestration frameworks.
  • Implement monitoring, observability, testing, and governance controls for AI systems.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Business stakeholders to identify and deliver AI use cases.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in Agentic AI, Generative AI, Claude Code, and the wider LLM ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience

Agentic AI & LLM Development

  • Proven experience developing solutions using Claude Code.
  • Strong understanding of Agentic AI concepts including planning, reasoning, memory, reflection, and tool use.
  • Experience building autonomous AI agents and AI-powered automation solutions.
  • Strong prompt engineering and AI evaluation experience.
  • Experience implementing RAG architectures and semantic search solutions.

Software Engineering

  • Strong Python development skills.
  • Experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience building and integrating REST APIs.
  • Understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and scalable development practices.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.

AI Frameworks & Tools

Experience with one or more of:

  • Claude Code
  • Anthropic APIs
  • LangGraph
  • LangChain
  • CrewAI
  • AutoGen
  • LlamaIndex
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol)

Data & Infrastructure

  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma, Qdrant, or FAISS.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience integrating enterprise data sources and knowledge repositories.

Cloud & DevOps

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience deploying AI applications into cloud environments.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial experience delivering production-grade AI solutions.
  • Experience with multi-agent orchestration and autonomous workflow systems.
  • Exposure to MLOps, AI observability, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience working within enterprise or regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and secure AI development practices.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant cloud, AI, or software engineering certifications are advantageous.
