GSL Education are proud to be working exclusively with a specialist secondary school that is seeking a full-time Support Assistant to start ASAP. The school caters for pupils aged 11–19 with severe, profound and complex learning needs. Many students also have additional sensory, physical, medical, social, emotional and communication needs.

You will be required to support students across Key Stages 3, 4 and Post-16, following a personalised and adapted curriculum designed to meet their individual needs. As well as supporting learning in core subjects such as English, Maths and Functional Skills, you will assist students in a range of practical, vocational and creative activities, helping them to develop independence, confidence and essential life skills.

The school offers excellent facilities, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, vocational learning areas and outdoor learning environments. They welcome applications from candidates with limited experience, provided you are enthusiastic, positive, resilient and confident in supporting young people with additional needs.
