Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer, Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Technician, or Diesel Mechanic looking for your next opportunity?
Our client is a well-established and growing engineering business operating within the specialist machinery sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their workshop team in Mansfield.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a wide range of heavy plant and specialist equipment, with excellent training, career progression, and long-term job security.
The Role
Working within a busy workshop environment, you'll be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, repair, and rebuild of heavy machinery and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Strip down, inspect, overhaul, and rebuild heavy plant machinery
* Diagnose and repair faults on diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components
* Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs to a high standard
* Utilise diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge to optimise machinery performance
* Ensure all work complies with company quality and safety standards
Candidate Requirements
* Previous experience working on heavy plant machinery, diesel engines, hydraulics, or similar equipment
* NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Land-Based Engineering, HGV Mechanics, or equivalent
* Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
* Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Own tools preferred
* Right to work in the UK
