A well-regarded fire consultancy is seeking a confident Senior Fire Engineer to join their growing fire team, delivering high-quality fire engineering services across a varied project portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Fire Engineer who is looking to progress within a professional consultancy environment, supporting complex fire safety projects across residential, commercial, mixed-use and high-rise buildings.
The Senior Fire Engineer's Role
The successful Senior Fire Engineer will support the delivery of fire engineering projects from early design stages through to completion, providing clear technical advice to clients, design teams and wider project stakeholders.
The Senior Fire Engineer will produce fire strategies, review building designs, advise on Building Regulations compliance, and contribute to practical, commercially focused fire safety solutions.
The Senior Fire Engineer will also attend design team meetings, liaise with approving authorities, support junior members of the team, and help maintain strong client relationships throughout each project.
The Senior Fire Engineer
The successful Senior Fire Engineer will have:
Experience within a fire engineering consultancy
Strong knowledge of Approved Document B and relevant British Standards
Experience producing fire strategies across a range of building types
A good understanding of Building Regulations and wider fire safety legislation
Experience liaising with clients, architects, contractors and approving authorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
A degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related disciplineChartered status, or working towards Chartership with the IFE, would be highly beneficial.
Experience with fire modelling, evacuation modelling, CFD analysis, smoke control, external wall assessments or complex residential schemes would also be advantageous.
