Pay Rate: £17.00 – £21.00 per hour (Class 2) | £18.00 – £22.00 per hour (Class 1)

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers for a well-established distribution client based in Tilbury.
This is a busy transport operation supporting a high-volume national supply chain, moving palletised goods in and out of a major logistics hub serving retail, industrial and commercial customers across the UK.
The Role
* Driving Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles or Class 2 (C) rigid vehicles.
* Trunking and/or multi-drop deliveries depending on route allocation.
* Collecting and delivering palletised goods to distribution centres and customer sites.
* Securing loads safely in line with transport regulations.
* Completing daily vehicle checks and reporting defects.
* Ensuring all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
* Adhering to strict health & safety procedures at all times.
* Maintaining professional communication with transport planners and site staff.
Requirements
* Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) Licence.
* Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
* Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience preferred.
* Good understanding of driver hours and transport regulations.
* Experience with palletised freight, RDCs or general haulage is advantageous.
* Good communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with planners, customers, and site teams.
* Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach to work.
* Ability to work independently and follow planned routes.
Shift Pattern
* Monday to Friday with occasional weekend shifts available.
* Start times between early morning and daytime.
* Shifts typically 8–10 hours per day, depending on workload.
* Overtime opportunities available.
