Position 1 Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading engineering business in Norwich to recruit an experienced Design Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team where you will play a key role in delivering innovative mechanical and structural engineering solutions from concept through to completion.
The Role
As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and delivering engineering projects, ensuring designs are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage design projects from concept through to completion.
* Produce mechanical and structural designs, calculations, technical drawings, and supporting documentation.
* Carry out and review Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and engineering calculations.
* Develop and present design concepts and participate in design reviews.
* Work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
* Support proposal development, project planning, and technical sales activities.
About You
* An HND, Degree, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Experience in mechanical and structural design engineering.
* Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
* Strong CAD skills, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
* Knowledge of fabrication, welding, materials, corrosion protection, and manufacturing processes.
