Job Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a large UK Facilities Management company, working on a key manufacturing contract in Long Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced FMCG environment, supporting critical production operations and ensuring all electrical systems and services are maintained to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and fault diagnosis across a wide range of electrical systems and building services equipment. Working within a multi-skilled engineering team, you will help ensure maximum plant uptime, minimal disruption to production, and full compliance with statutory and safety regulations.
Typical duties will include electrical fault finding, repairs, testing, inspection, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. You will also be expected to respond promptly to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
You will play a key role in maintaining safe systems of work, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in line with company procedures, health & safety standards, and client requirements. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with both internal teams and client representatives.
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven experience as an Electrical Engineer within a facilities management, industrial, or manufacturing environment. A strong understanding of electrical systems, controls, and maintenance practices is essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a busy operational setting.
You will be proactive, safety-conscious, and confident in diagnosing and resolving electrical faults efficiently. Experience within FMCG or food production environments would be highly advantageous.
