Court of Protection Paralegal (Health & Welfare)

Our client, a highly regarded law firm with a recognised Court of Protection practice, is seeking a compassionate and motivated Paralegal to join its Health & Welfare team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced solicitors and partners on a broad range of matters involving mental capacity, best interests’ decisions, care arrangements, residence, contact, medical treatment, and safeguarding issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting solicitors with Health & Welfare Court of Protection matters.
* Attending clients in hospitals, care homes, supported living placements, and their own homes.
* Liaising with healthcare professionals, social workers, advocates, family members, and other stakeholders.
* Preparing Court of Protection applications, witness statements, legal correspondence, and case documents.
* Maintaining accurate case files and assisting with case management.
* Supporting best interests decision-making processes and safeguarding matters.
* Providing a professional, compassionate, and client-focused service.
About You:
* Previous Court of Protection experience is essential, specifically Health & Welfare.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Confident drafting legal documents and correspondence.
* Highly professional, empathetic, and able to work with vulnerable clients and their families.
* Strong attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
