Are you a recent Maths graduate looking to take your first step into education?
Do you have aspirations of becoming a teacher and want to gain meaningful classroom experience within a supportive and ambitious secondary school?
We are working with a high performing secondary academy in East London that is renowned for its commitment to inclusion, staff development and student success. This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths graduate to join a dedicated team and make a genuine impact on the lives of young people.
The role:
• Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 during Maths lessons
• Deliver targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment
• Provide one to one and small group support
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Help students build confidence, resilience and engagement in learning
• Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
• Promote positive behaviour and high expectations throughout the school
We're looking for someone who:
• Holds a degree in Mathematics or a related subject
• Has a genuine passion for education
• Is considering a future career in teaching
• Can build positive relationships with young people
• Is confident, resilient and proactive
• Has strong communication and organisational skills
• Wants to develop professionally within a school setting
