History Teacher

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Teacher of History on a long-term basis from September. The successful Teacher of History will teach across the full secondary phase, delivering engaging History lessons to students of varying abilities, including those with SEND needs, while maintaining high expectations for behaviour, progress and achievement.

Are you a passionate Teacher of History who can bring the past to life and inspire students to develop a love for learning?

Do you have experience teaching History across the full secondary age and ability range?

Do you have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to support students with a range of SEND needs?

The successful Teacher of History will have:

• QTS with a History specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)

• Experience teaching History across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4

• Experience supporting students with a range of SEND needs

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History

• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach to teaching
