Do you have the compassion and resilience to support young people in rebuilding confidence and engaging with education? Do you have experience supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Are you comfortable working with Looked After Children (LAC) or those within the care system? Have you previously worked in a residential or support-based role?
The Role…
This is a rewarding opportunity within a small, specialist school in Todmorden that supports children who have experienced early life trauma. You will play a key role in the classroom, helping pupils access learning through a therapeutic and supportive approach to behaviour and education.
The school supports students from Key Stage 1 through to Key Stage 4, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum. A strong focus on pastoral care is essential, as you will help pupils re-engage with their education, develop emotional regulation, and build positive routines.
You'll Be…
* An experienced Teaching Assistant or Residential Support Worker, with a background supporting young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or additional needs
* Confident supporting children who may display challenging behaviour or have experienced trauma
* A strong communicator, able to build rapport and keep students engaged
* Passionate about promoting wellbeing, independence, and positive social development
