We're partnering with a growing and dynamic organisation seeking a Senior Finance Manager to play a key leadership role within its finance function. This is an opportunity to make real impact-leading a small team, shaping financial processes, and partnering with the wider business to drive performance and growth.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, contributing to both strategic decision-making and operational excellence, while helping to build a high-performing, forward-thinking finance function.

The Role

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop a small finance team across transactional and accounting functions

- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture

- Support the development of finance capability across the business

Financial Management & Reporting

- Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts and reporting packs

- Manage cashflow forecasting and provide insightful analysis

- Ensure strong financial controls and full compliance with statutory requirements

- Oversee VAT returns, audits, and regulatory submissions

Business Partnering

- Partner with operational teams to review performance and identify opportunities for improvement

- Translate financial data into clear, actionable insights

- Support strategic decision-making across the organisation

Controls, Compliance & Process Improvement

- Maintain and enhance internal controls and reconciliation processes

- Lead audit processes and ensure compliance with financial regulations

- Identify and implement process and system improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy

Additional Responsibilities

- Oversee payroll coordination and ensure accuracy of employee-related financial data

- Monitor working capital, including receivables and inventory compliance requirements

- Support senior finance leadership on ad-hoc analysis and projects

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)

- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or senior accounting role, including team management

- Strong technical accounting knowledge and financial reporting expertise

- Advanced Excel skills and experience with finance systems (e.g. Sage or similar)

- Excellent communication, both written and verbal

- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail

- A collaborative, solutions-focused approach

- A drive for continuous improvement
