Clinical Pharmacist
Winfield Hospital, Gloucester
Part-time, 18 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist to join our Pharmacy team at Winfield Hospital based in Gloucester.
This role is key to delivering high-quality medicines optimisation, ensuring patients receive the best possible care throughout their treatment journey, from pre-assessment through to discharge.
You’ll work closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues, providing expert advice, supporting governance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services.
Hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
Duties include:
Support medicines optimisation through medication review, reconciliation, and prescription review
Provide expert medicines advice to patients, carers, consultants, and staff
Assist in the safe procurement, management, and control of medication stock
Support the introduction and evaluation of new medicines and therapies
Contribute to clinical governance, including incident reporting, audits, and learning outcomes
Support pharmacy operations including dispensing, supply, and procurement processes
Assist in the training and development of colleagues across the hospital
What you'll bring with you:
Hospital pharmacy experience (preferred)
Registered as a Pharmacist with the General
Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Clinical diploma or equivalent experience
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Independent Prescriber (desirable)
