An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing business in South Wales.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking to join a business that invests in its people, equipment and continuous improvement initiatives.
You'll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, minimising downtime and supporting the site in delivering operational targets.
The Role:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across a range of food manufacturing equipment
* Responding to breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to minimise downtime
* Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on machinery and production lines
* Supporting continuous improvement projects and engineering upgrades
* Working closely with Production and Technical teams to improve equipment reliability and performance
* Maintaining accurate maintenance records and completing engineering documentation
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
* Supporting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues
What We're Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar fast-paced production environment
* Electrically biased with strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Relevant engineering qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent)
* Experience working with PLC-controlled machinery would be advantageous
* Strong understanding of preventative maintenance systems
* A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider engineering team
