Job Profile for Site Manager CF46762

We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a growing engineering and construction business delivering projects across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong site management experience who is comfortable overseeing projects within fast-paced construction and engineering environments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role will involve coordinating subcontractors, liaising directly with clients, supervising site teams, and ensuring full compliance with health & safety and operational procedures.

Due to the nature of the projects, nationwide travel and regular stay-aways are essential.

Site Manager Position Remuneration

Salary £45,000 - £50,000 depending on experience
Company van provided
Company fuel card
Accommodation and a stay away allowance is paid when working away

Managing day-to-day site operations across multiple construction and engineering projects
Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project programmes
Supervising subcontractors, direct labour, and site personnel
Conducting regular site inspections and ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
Liaising directly with clients, consultants, suppliers, and internal management teams
Monitoring project progress and proactively resolving any site-related issues
Coordinating plant, materials, and equipment required for site activities
Maintaining site records, reports, permits, and compliance documentation
Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and company standards
Managing RAMS, toolbox talks, inductions, and site audits
Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates to senior management
Supporting successful project delivery while maintaining high-quality workmanship standardsSite Manager Position Requirements

Previous experience working as a Site Manager within civil engineering and groundworks
SMSTS Black Card qualification essential
CSCS Card required
First Aid qualification advantageous
Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and site compliance procedures
Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on-site
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and site documentation
Full UK Driving Licence required
