Location: Irlam, Manchester
Pay: £12.71-£13.50
Contract: Temporary (minimum 3 months, potential to extend)
Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 08:30 - 17:00
Friday: 08:30 - 16:30

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Production Assistant to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Irlam. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a skilled production environment with the potential for long-term work.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be involved in the assembly and manufacture of specialist products, with a focus on precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Assembling products in line with engineering drawings and instructions
Manufacturing electrical cable assemblies to specification
Cutting, preparing and terminating cables
Using hand tools, crimping equipment and wire strippers
Carrying out soldering tasks (where required)
Performing testing and quality checks on completed products
Recording production and testing information accurately
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
Supporting the wider production team to meet deadlines and schedules

What We're Looking For

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Understanding of health & safety practices in a workshop setting
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and instructions
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Reliable, punctual and able to meet deadlines
Strong team player with a positive attitudeDesirable (not essential):

Experience with cable assembly or electrical manufacturing
Previous soldering experience
