Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional with a background in construction, fit-out, shopfitting, or refurbishment projects?
We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Advisor to join a highly successful and award-winning business based in Gloucester. Working closely alongside the SHEQ Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across a diverse portfolio of nationwide projects.

The Role
As Health & Safety Advisor, you will support the SHEQ Manager in driving a positive safety culture throughout the business and ensuring compliance with current legislation and industry best practice.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the implementation and maintenance of company health and safety policies and procedures.
* Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments across live projects.
* Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing reports and recommendations.
* Assisting with the preparation and review of RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
* Monitoring compliance with CDM regulations and construction health and safety requirements.
* Delivering health and safety guidance and support to project teams, site managers, and subcontractors.
* Maintaining accurate SHEQ records and documentation.
* Supporting training initiatives and promoting continuous improvement across the business.
* Assisting with environmental and quality management systems where required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
* Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Coordinator, SHEQ Advisor, HSE Advisor, or similar.
* A background within construction, shopfitting, fit-out, refurbishment, or related sectors.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum.
* Good understanding of CDM Regulations and current UK health and safety legislation.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
