Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer
Location: Stockport
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 + Benefits
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join a well-established environmental and geotechnical consultancy based in Stockport. This role offers excellent training, mentorship, and career progression opportunities for a recent graduate looking to develop a successful career within the geoenvironmental sector.
The successful candidate will work on a wide variety of residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the UK, gaining hands-on experience in both site and office-based activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with Phase 1 Desk Studies and Preliminary Risk Assessments.
Supporting and supervising ground investigations.
Soil and groundwater sampling in accordance with current guidance and standards.
Logging soil and rock samples to relevant British Standards.
Assisting with the preparation of factual and interpretative reports.
Monitoring remediation and validation works.
Liaising with subcontractors, clients, and regulatory bodies.
Supporting senior engineers and consultants on project delivery.Requirements:
Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Geoscience, Engineering Geology, Geoscience, or a related discipline.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Enthusiastic and proactive approach to learning.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous placement or internship experience within the geoenvironmental sector would be advantageous but is not essential.Benefits:
