The Role – ASD Teaching Assistant

A specialist SEN school in Southwark is seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASD Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and helping them achieve their full potential.

As an ASD Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils with varying levels of autism, providing tailored support on a 1:1 basis and within small class groups. You will assist pupils with their learning, communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation while helping to create a structured and positive learning environment.

Working alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff, you will help implement personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies to ensure pupils remain engaged and make progress. The ideal ASD Teaching Assistant will be patient, resilient, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
