HGV Technician

Our client, a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites across the UK, is seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician for their busy Oxford dealership.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced HGV Technicians to join a well-established business that prioritises staff development, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Perform all service, maintenance, and repair work to the highest standards and within manufacturer timeframes
Deliver professional levels of performance across all workshop activities to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
Support colleagues in diagnosing complex technical issues and implementing innovative solutions
Conduct comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of faults and malfunctions
Ensure full compliance with company policies and procedures at all times
Accurately document diagnosis, repairs, safety inspections, and service activities
Contribute effectively as part of a team under the supervision of the Workshop ControllerRequirements of a HGV Technician:

Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
At least 1-2 years of practical experience in a similar role post-qualification
Strong commitment to high-quality workmanship and teamwork
Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop environment and meet targets
A full UK driving licence is desirable; an HGV licence is advantageous but not essential
