Machine Operative

We are currently recruiting for experienced and reliable Machine Operatives to join a busy manufacturing operation in Tankersley. This role plays a key part in supporting the production of high-performance construction materials, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and health & safety procedures are consistently achieved.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a strong manufacturing background who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and operating machinery safely and efficiently.

The Role

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for operating and supporting various areas of the manufacturing and production process. Duties will include:

Operating production machinery including mixers & fillers
Carrying out blending and filling operations to required specifications
Assisting with machine setup and changeovers
Monitoring production lines and ensuring output targets are met
Conducting quality inspections and reporting defects or inconsistencies
Following health & safety procedures and site operating standards
Reporting machinery faults, breakdowns, or production concerns
Supporting warehouse and production operations where required
Working collaboratively with other departments

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment and who can demonstrate strong awareness of workplace safety and operational procedures.

Ideal candidates will have:

Previous experience operating machinery within a production or manufacturing setting
Experience with fillers, packing, wrapping, or mixing equipment
The ability to work under pressure and meet production targets
Multi skilled in warehouse and production operations
Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems and SAP
Knowledge/experience of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out
A counterbalance FLT licence is desirable
