Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for your next opportunity within FMCG manufacturing?

We are recruiting for a Health & Safety Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Whitby. Reporting into the Operations Director, this role will take ownership of driving and developing the site-wide Health & Safety culture across the business.

This is a highly visible role working closely with operational leaders to improve systems, drive engagement, and support continuous improvement across the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and develop Health & Safety improvement plans across the business

Maintain and improve the H&S management system

Drive a proactive and positive safety culture across site

Support audits, investigations and compliance activities

Work closely with managers to improve accountability and engagement

Liaise with external bodies including HSE and insurers

Analyse H&S data and identify improvement opportunities

Support wider continuous improvement initiatives across the operation

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a Health & Safety leadership role

Manufacturing or FMCG experience

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to influence across departments

Continuous improvement mindset

NEBOSH Certificate essential

NEBOSH Diploma desirable
