£55k - £70k Annual
Full-Time
Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience working on facilities management projects?

Do you have experience working on contracts valued at ~£5m annually with a quick turnaround?

Location: South East London - home working 2 days per week after probation is passed
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum DOE + £6000 car allowance and up to 10% discretionary bonus scheme

Benefits
·Car allowance of £6,000
·Discretionary bonus up to 10%
·Pension scheme
·28 days annual leave including BH, increasing by a day for each year of service
·Flexible working arrangements
·Professional development and training support, such as NVQ's and Chartership
·Annual paid volunteering day
·Long-term career progression within a growing business

Due to continued growth, contract wins, and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming facilities management frameworks, my client is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to take full commercial ownership of their FM portfolio, delivering works across Network Rail and public-sector assets. This includes works across four live frameworks, with a combined value of approximately £25m to be delivered over the next 4 years, with further frameworks expected to be secured over the next 12 months.

This is a key, urgent hire and an excellent opportunity to join a well-established SME contractor with a strong reputation across the South and East of England. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, pace, and autonomy, working across multiple reactive and planned maintenance contracts rather than long-term capital projects. You will lead and develop a small but growing commercial team with management duties.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
·Full commercial management of FM contracts and frameworks
·Reviewing and commercially assessing client contract documents, identifying risk and opportunity
·Client-facing commercial interaction and support to project teams
·Procurement and management of supply chain resources to meet programme and maximise profitability
·Forecasting and monthly cost/value reporting
·Effective change control to protect and enhance margin
·Weekly programme review and variance analysis
·Maximising cash collection
·Supporting Estimating and Operations with bid submissions
·Managing and developing the commercial team, including a Quantity Surveyor and Technical Quoter

Requirements:
·Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor for a minimum of 3 years
·Background in facilities management, maintenance, or small works environments
·Experience working with bespoke or amended JCT contracts
·Comfortable managing multiple fast-turnaround projects simultaneously
·Previous experience leading or mentoring commercial staff
·HNC, Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
·Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
·Full UK driving licence

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a SME contractor within the Rail industry, who maintain a focus on progression for their staff and regularly support the local community and charities.
