Remedy Education is recruiting an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Secondary school in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into a career in teaching or educational psychology.

Role Overview - Graduate Teaching Assistant

The successful Graduate Teaching Assistant will support teachers across the classroom while working closely with pupils who require additional help with their learning. The Graduate Teaching Assistant will assist with both small group interventions and 1:1 support, helping pupils build confidence and make academic progress.

Responsibilities of the Graduate Teaching Assistant

Supporting pupils with 1:1 learning support and small group activities
Assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons
Supporting pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to support pupil development
Encouraging confidence, participation and positive behaviourRequirements for the Graduate Teaching Assistant

A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies or a related subject
Interest in pursuing a career in teaching or educational psychology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and enthusiastic approach to supporting pupils
