Technical Account Manager (DV) - Hampshire - Contract role - £competitive
Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Technical Account Manager to work at a leading defence client on a contract basis.
The successful candidate will join a high-profile, secure environment supporting critical infrastructure services in a key client-facing role. They will combine strong technical knowledge with excellent service delivery, stakeholder management, and account leadership skills. Acting as the primary point of contact for key customers, you will drive operational excellence, manage service performance, and help shape long-term account success.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Take ownership of the overall customer experience and service delivery performance.
- Lead regular service reviews, governance meetings, and operational reporting activities.
- Proactively address service issues and implement sustainable solutions
- Act as the primary escalation point for service-related issues, driving timely resolution and continuous improvement.
- Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure services are delivered in line with agreed objectives and service levels.
- Identify opportunities for service enhancement, optimisation, and innovation through automation and modern technologies.
- Monitor account performance, risks, and dependencies, ensuring proactive management of service delivery challenges.
- Support strategic account planning and contribute to the growth and development of customer relationships.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes and long-term value for customers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security, governance, and operational standards.
Experience required:
- Experience in a Technical Account Manager, Technical Account Lead, Technical Service Manager, Client Delivery Manager, or similar customer-facing technical role.
- Strong background in infrastructure services, managed services, IT operations, or enterprise technology environments.
- Experience managing complex customer relationships and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrable experience acting as a trusted advisor within large-scale or mission-critical environments.
- Strong understanding of service delivery principles, governance, service reporting, and continual improvement.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working within highly regulated, secure, or government environments would be advantageous.
- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and wiling to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (DV).
