Proactive Personnel ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator/Welder for our client based in Alfreton.
You will have experience in steel/secondary steelwork and general structural steelwork, such as handrails/balustrades/mezzanine floors and chimneys.
An immediate start is available for the successful candidate!
Responsibility and Duties:
* Working from supplied assembly drawings to complete fabrication of projects varying in complexity.
* Measuring and marking out plate and sections for cutting, shaping and drilling. Using varying workshop tools, plant and machinery.
* Experience in working with carbon steel (3mm to 50mm) and stainless steel (3mm and above)
* Ensure tolerances and parameters are met to satisfy quality and output.
* Ensure production timings are met.
* Follow company rules and adhere to procedures & Health and Safety standards.
* Work as part of a team to produce orders on time and within customer expectation/quality requirements.
* Carry out and record daily/weekly/monthly maintenance and safety checks.
* Ensure correct marking up of component parts.
* Demonstration of previous welding experience via codings (current or lapsed), with varying positions desirable.
* A good work ethic and attitude
Overtime may be required to keep pace with our full order book. Pay is negotiable depending upon experience and qualifications.
Day shift, Mon - Thursday with a half day on a Friday.
39-hour paid work
To achieve the higher rate of pay, the candidate must be able to demonstrate competence in all aspects of the job role
