SEND Mentors & Tutors - Hayes, Hillingdon
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available for these opportunities.
Quantum Scholars are looking to engage caring and adaptable individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to pupils across Hayes and the wider Hillingdon area.
Many of the young people we support are currently outside of mainstream education and may experience challenges linked to SEND, SEMH, autism, anxiety, trauma, behavioural needs, medical conditions, or school avoidance. For the right person, this can be incredibly rewarding work. The support you provide can help a young person rebuild confidence, re-engage with learning, and achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.
We welcome applications from individuals with experience in teaching, teaching assistance, SEND support, youth work, behaviour mentoring, alternative provision, coaching, pastoral care, or similar roles. Above all, we are looking for people who can build positive relationships and provide consistent support.
The role involves delivering 1:1 tuition and mentoring to primary and secondary-aged pupils. Sessions may take place in homes, schools, community settings, or online, depending on the needs of each student. There is immediate and ongoing demand for tutors, with regular referrals available throughout the academic year.
Requirements
Experience working with children or young people
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to travel locally within Hayes and the wider Hillingdon area
What We Offer
Flexible opportunities to fit around your availability
Ongoing referrals and long-term opportunities
Meaningful work with genuine impact
Competitive rates, dependent on experience
