Laboratory Co-ordinator/Administrator
Are you a highly organised individual looking for a varied and rewarding role within a dynamic scientific environment?
An established, UKAS accredited, independent scientific organisation is looking for a capable and enthusiastic Laboratory Co-ordinator/Administrator to join the team.
This is a permanent, full-time position at the heart of the operations, supporting the delivery of high-quality analytical chemistry and microbiological testing services to clients across a wide range of sectors.
In the role, you will play a key part in the smooth running of the laboratory, acting as a vital link between our scientific teams and our clients. From producing detailed analytical reports to managing client enquiries and preparing quotations, your contribution will be felt across the business.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Reporting of analytical and microbiological results to clients accurately and in a timely manner.
* Raising and processing invoices in line with completed work.
* Carrying out a range of general administration tasks to support the wider team.
* Preparing client quotations for laboratory and consultancy services.
* Handling incoming calls and correspondence, providing a professional and helpful first point of contact for clients.
The ideal candidate will be methodical, professional, and eager to contribute to a close-knit team. Ideally you will have a degree in a STEM subject or have an equivalent level of scientific knowledge or background.
Prior experience in an administrative or laboratory role would be advantageous. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential in this role.
You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and learning other bespoke software as a part of the role.
