Bennett & Game Recruitment are representing a leading advanced manufacturing business looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their growing team base in North-West London.
You will be responsible for programming, setting, and running advanced CNC machines to produce high-precision components for aerospace, defence, energy, and robotics customers.
This is a hands-on role with full ownership of the machining process, from CAM programming and prove-out to cycle time improvement and repeat production.
Key Responsibilities
Program and optimise CNC toolpaths (3-axis, 5-axis and mill-turn where applicable)
Set, prove-out and run jobs to high aerospace and defence standards
Improve cycle times and machine efficiency
Design and improve fixturing methods
Select tooling and cutting data for materials including aluminium, steel, titanium and Inconel
Maintain high quality standards and first-time-right production
Support new part introduction from drawing to production
Work with engineering teams to improve manufacturing processes and automation
Requirements
Strong CAM programming experience (Fusion, Hypermill, Mastercam or similar)
Experience machining to tight tolerances (±0.01mm and below)
Background using high-end CNC machines such as Hermle, DMG Mori or Mazak
Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds and workholding
Able to read complex engineering drawings and GD&T
Aerospace, defence or precision engineering experience preferred
Desirable
5-axis machining experience
Knowledge of probing, automation or pallet systems
Understanding of AS9100 / ISO9001
