We are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Shipley.
Pay Rate:
£12.71 per hour
Hours:
Monday to Friday
8:00am – 4:30pm
(30-minute unpaid lunch break)
This role involves working with raw materials to manufacture bespoke products used across commercial, industrial and public sector environments. You will be responsible for measuring, cutting and assembling components to precise specifications, following technical drawings and instructions provided by the engineering team - -full training is provided.
The position would suit someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in producing quality products, and is comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.

Duties:
Measuring and cutting raw materials to specification
Following engineering drawings, diagrams and work instructions
Assembling products using pre-manufactured components
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Carrying out quality checks throughout the build process
Ensuring products meet required standards before completion
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Supporting other departments where required
Skills:
Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
Ability to read and follow technical drawings and diagrams
Confident using hand and power tools
Good attention to detail
Strong practical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work accurately and efficiently
Reliable with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
