Are you passionate about supporting children who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed in the classroom?

Academics is recruiting for a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to join a welcoming two-form entry primary school in Brighton from September. This rewarding role will involve providing dedicated support to a pupil with behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively with learning, develop self-regulation strategies, and build confidence within the school environment.

Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team, you will play a key role in supporting the child's social, emotional, and academic development.

The successful candidate will:

* Have experience working with children or young people with behavioural, social, emotional, or additional learning needs
* Be calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenging situations
* Demonstrate strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
* Be confident implementing strategies to support positive behaviour and engagement
* Work effectively as part of a supportive school team

The school can offer:
