Supply Desk is working in partnership with a well-regarded independent through school in the Horsham area, who are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September 2026. About the Role
As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons within a small class setting, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential. You will foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, promoting curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners
Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress effectively
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and high expectations
Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extracurricular activities
Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Candidate Profile
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching within a primary school setting, ideally KS2
Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
A nurturing, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to teaching
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A commitment to high standards and pupil achievement
A genuine passion for working within an independent school environment
Requirements
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
Two professional teaching references
Eligibility to work in the UK
