Reports to: Quality Management Lead

Morson Edge are working on behalf of a major player in the Energy sector who have a current contract requirement for a Quality Engineer to join our client's established site team for work associated with a Nuclear New Build in Somerset. This is a great opportunity to consolidate your existing knowledge and gain unique experience working on Europe's largest construction/infrastructure Project.

Typical accountabilities

Support the development of quality (QA/QC) arrangements for deployment across the Project.
Support arrangements/updates associated with:
o Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Project Quality Assurance Control Plans (PCAPs)
o Manufacturing surveillance and inspections
o Non-Conformance Report (NCR) Management
o Quality reporting and metrics

Who's the Ideal Candidate?

Key Skills & Experience

You will typically have had previous experience of Project delivery and have a solid understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (codes and standards), within major projects or organisations (relevant safety critical/highly regulated industry).
You will be able to confidently interface between Project teams and with supply chain organisations.
You be able to accurately prepare reports, make recommendations and provide data analysis
You will be pro-active, flexible and be able to plan and work on your own initiative
Other

Knowledge of pressure and nuclear codes.
Knowledge of Welding, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE).
Qualifications & Experience

An HNC/HND qualification or degree in a relevant science or engineering subject, or equivalent qualification.
Desirable

Working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute & Chartered Quality Professional
