Responsible for overseeing and planning of production to ensure resource capacity and stock are always available to meet product and manufacturing demand, coordinating with various departments, manufacturing sites and suppliers. Managing inventory, forecast and capacity planning, scheduling and stock movements. Work with internal teams and suppliers to streamline manufacturing and kitting processes, ensuring that all products meet the required standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan both short- and long-term to align supply and demand to support inventory needs
• Project forward-looking inventory positions and financial implications
• Manage and control stock levels to ensure continuous manufacturing and kitting
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies
• Manage allocated LOTs in production and request stock call-offs to keep pick lists at an optimal level for continuous kitting
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage expiry dates of stock items to ensure expired stock is kept to a minimum
• Plan and schedule all manufacturing and kitting activities accordingly to achieve 100% on-time delivery
• Adhering to supplier lead times, manage and plan capacity loadings, adjusting based on changes in demand patterns and report resource requirements to the Production Director
• Liaise with Client Services and advise of any scheduling discrepancies or delays
• Report daily, weekly and monthly productivity to senior management
• Analyse productivity reports and identify manufacturing improvements and efficiencies
• Coordinate manufacturing across all sites and departments for maximum production and logistics efficiencies
• Produce relevant traceability documents and submit to production for stock picking and quality control
• Set preferred stock levels and prevent excess inventory
• Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance with contractual requirements
• Keep obsolescence to a minimum and report monthly, including expiry date parameters
• Report and record cost-saving initiatives to the Procurement Manager

• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks to ensure customer and business needs are met
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to take a holistic view when appropriate
• Remain calm and upbeat in difficult circumstances, always looking for continuous improvement
• Self-motivated and able to perform as part of a team, supporting colleagues when required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Follow quality, environmental and health & safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS)

• Understanding of industry safety standards
• Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Flexibility and openness to change
• Understanding of software utilised within the industry
• Excellent verbal communication skills
