Senior Technician / Workshop Controller – Rugby

Our client, a reputable independent automotive workshop in Rugby, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Technician / Workshop Controller to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a professional with proven technical expertise to take on a leadership position within a busy, well-equipped environment.

Ongoing training and development opportunitiesDuties of the Senior Technician / Workshop Controller:

Carry out advanced diagnostics and fault-finding procedures on a variety of vehicles
Perform servicing, repairs, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
Conduct and oversee MOT testing in accordance with current legislation
Support and mentor other technicians within the workshop
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards
Assist in workshop planning and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve faults effectively
Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used as a Senior Technician / Workshop ControllerRequirements:

Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
MOT Tester certification
Extensive diagnostic and fault-finding experience
Previous experience in a senior or lead technician role preferred
Strong technical knowledge beyond general workshop duties
Experience within main dealer or independent workshops advantageous
Full UK driving licence
