A high-tech manufacturing company specialising in precision laser systems is seeking a Laser Process Engineer to join their expanding research and development team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced materials processing technologies in a collaborative and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop, optimise, and document laser-based processes for precision manufacturing applications

* Plan and conduct experiments to evaluate laser-material interactions

* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate laser processes into bespoke systems

* Drive innovation to enhance process performance, reliability, and throughput

* Work to high standards of documentation and reporting

* Communicate effectively with colleagues across disciplines to support project delivery

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Degree in Physics, Materials Science, Engineering, or a related field

* Over 3 years of experience in a research and development environment

* Solid understanding of lasers and optics

* Knowledge of laser materials processing techniques (e.g. ablation, cutting, drilling, patterning)

* High level of quality and attention to detail in technical documentation

* Proven ability to innovate and improve process efficiency

* Strong team player with effective communication skills
