PS Ltd are currently recruiting for an experienced Diesel Engineer to join a busy and growing engineering team.
This is a hands-on role involving the inspection, repair, overhaul, testing and assembly of diesel engines, transmissions, axles and related mechanical components. You'll work within a modern workshop environment, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strip, inspect and rebuild mechanical components
* Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
* Test and evaluate completed units
* Complete workshop paperwork accurately
* Work closely with parts and service teams
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
* Working hours of 7:30 - 16:00, Monday - Friday
The Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a mechanical or engineering environment
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Experience working on diesel engines, transmissions or similar equipment
* Ability to read technical information and follow procedures
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
