This is a key role that will lead the definition, integration and delivery of highly advanced laser micromachining systems for customers operating at the forefront of research, semiconductor manufacturing and precision engineering.
Working closely with commercial, engineering and customer-facing teams, the Laser Systems Specialist will take ownership of complex system developments from initial concept through to customer acceptance. Acting as the technical authority, you will ensure that multidisciplinary systems incorporating lasers, optics, motion control, machine vision and software are designed, integrated and validated to meet demanding performance, reliability and commercial objectives.
The position requires an experienced laser specialist who can bridge the gap between customer requirements and engineering delivery, translating technical and commercial needs into practical solutions. You will play a central role in system architecture definition, requirements management, risk mitigation, verification and validation activities, while providing technical leadership across optical, mechanical, electrical and software disciplines.
Candidates should have a degree in Engineering, Physics or a related discipline together with hands-on experience of laser micromachining technologies.
