Cover Supervisor – KS3 & KS4

We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming and well-established secondary school in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, or education professionals looking to develop their skills within a mainstream secondary environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and maintaining a positive classroom atmosphere.
The Role
* Deliver pre-planned lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
* Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.
* Ensure students remain on task and complete the work set by teaching staff.
* Provide support and guidance to students where appropriate.
* Maintain a safe, positive and productive learning environment.
* Liaise with teaching staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate
* Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
* Confident managing groups of students in a classroom setting.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to different subjects and classroom environments.
* Professional, reliable and organised approach to work
