Hemel Hempstead | Full-Time | September Start

Pertemps Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded Independent SEN School in Hemel Hempstead, seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a nurturing and well-resourced specialist setting, supporting Key Stage 2 pupils with a range of additional needs. The school offers exceptionally small class sizes of 3–6 pupils, allowing teachers to deliver highly personalised learning and make a genuine impact on each child's educational journey.

Interviews are taking place immediately, and the school is keen to appoint the right candidate as soon as possible.
The RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment where pupils can thrive.
Support pupils' academic, social, emotional, and behavioural development.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Monitor progress against EHCP targets and contribute to reviews and assessments.
Foster positive relationships that promote confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.The Ideal CandidateThe successful applicant will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
Previous experience teaching within an SEN and/or SEMH setting – Essential
Strong knowledge of differentiated teaching strategies and inclusive classroom practice
Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, communication difficulties, or complex learning needs
Excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach
A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needsWhat the School Offers
