Site based, commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Blackburn, Lancaster and surrounding areas

Are you a mechanically minded engineer with strong knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, engines, and fault finding, looking to move into a teaching role where you can pass on your skills and take a step off the tools?

Whether your background is in HGV, Agricultural, Plant, Heavy Vehicle, Powered Access, Commercial Vehicles, Fleet Maintenance or similar, this is a fantastic opportunity to move into education with full training and support provided.

In this role, you'll deliver both practical workshop and classroom-based sessions to full-time learners and apprentices, covering core mechanical engineering principles and maintenance practices. This role would suit an experienced engineer from a HGV, Agricultural, Plant, Mechanical Maintenance or similar background looking to move into a teaching environment and play a key role in shaping future engineers.

The Role:
*Deliver practical workshop and classroom-based lessons in Mechanical Engineering
*Teach and mentor students in areas such as mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, maintenance and fault finding
*Support apprentices and learners in developing technical knowledge and hands-on skills
*Mark assessments and monitor learner progress using digital systems
*Contribute to curriculum development, learner reviews and pastoral support

The Person:
*NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering / Vehicle Maintenance / Plant / HGV / Agricultural Engineering or similar
*Strong hands-on mechanical engineering experience
*Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, transmissions, engines or heavy mechanical systems
*Looking to move into an education or training environment
*Based within commuting distance of Preston
