A forward-thinking fire engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Engineer to join their growing team. With a diverse project pipeline spanning commercial, residential, healthcare, education, and high-security developments, this is a rare opportunity for a Fire Engineer to work across a range of technically challenging schemes in a flexible, supportive environment.

This consultancy, known for reshaping how compliance is delivered in the built environment, empowers their Fire Engineers with cutting-edge digital tools, strong internal technical leadership, and a culture committed to improving safety and well-being through accountable, risk-informed design.

Whether leading major schemes or contributing to specialist project stages, as a Fire Engineer you will play a visible, valued role in shaping safer buildings and stronger client relationships.

The Fire Engineer's Role

Develop performance-based fire strategies in line with ADB, BS 9999, BS 9991, and the Building Safety Act
Produce clear, compliant fire strategy reports from concept through to completion
Contribute to fire modelling and advanced calculations (CFD experience advantageous)
Engage directly with clients, design teams, and authorities across all RIBA stages
Conduct site inspections, reviews and risk assessments
Support junior team members and technical development initiativesThe Fire Engineer

Degree in Fire Engineering or closely related field
2-3+ years' experience in a UK fire consultancy or multidisciplinary environment
Proven ability to deliver quality reports and client-facing technical advice
Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and codes
Progressing towards MIFireE or IEng / CEng status (or actively interested)
Proactive and collaborative, with a clear, solution-focused mindsetIn Return?

£45,000 - £60,000 base salary
Bonus scheme (up to 15% of salary, profit-based)
Two 3-day weekends per month (up to 24 additional days off)
28 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays + your birthday off
Private healthcare + life assurance (4x salary)

Fully expensed public transport for business travel into major cities
Flexible hours and remote-first operations - never returning to 5-day office weeks
