We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Thames Water framework team based in East Hyde, Bedfordshire.

Location: East Hyde, Bedfordshire - remote working may available, with occasional travel to the office required.
Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

Kier has been engaged to deliver a major project for Thames Water involving sewage process systems for tertiary treatment, biomethane and digesters, and sludge works. We're looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to ensure the project electrical systems are designed and built to the highest standards. You'll be the lead electrical specialist on the project, establishing inspection and test plans, attending tests, engaging with the commissioning team, and providing all documentation required for handover. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of electrical systems from inception through to completion on a significant infrastructure project.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you'll be working within the project team, supporting them in delivering multiple concurrent projects within budget and timescales. Your day to day will include:

Leading electrical engineering from inception to completion, liaising with client engineering and operational staff

Ascertaining preliminary and detailed design requirements and developing practical solutions

Coordinating with suppliers, specialist subcontractors, and in-house teams to ensure seamless delivery

Taking overall responsibility for profit and loss on contracts, including completion of all project-specific reports

Compiling final contract documentation for client closeout, including as-built drawings, test sheets, and operation and maintenance manuals
