Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Electrical
Permanent | Full-time
We are currently recruiting for Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers (Mechanical & Electrical) to join a well-established, global manufacturing business operating within a demanding industrial environment.
The Role
You will support the Maintenance function by ensuring both mechanical and electrical systems are maintained to a high standard. This includes planned maintenance, reactive breakdown response, and supporting ongoing site improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
Support installation and commissioning of equipment
Maintain compliance with safety standards and complete risk assessments
Work with control systems and assist with plant monitoring systems
Liaise with contractors and internal stakeholders
Ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently and safely
Requirements
Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Multi-skilled capability (mechanical & electrical fault finding)
Experience in a heavy or industrial manufacturing environment
Knowledge of PLCs / control systems (advantageous)
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a team
Good communication and basic IT skills
Shift Pattern
Initially 2-shift (Days & Backs), moving to a 3-shift patternS96
